This is an exquisite brass frigurine set, complete with all four singinficant characters from the tamil hindu mutholgy. The four great saints of Shaivism who took in the world showing us the path of elevating oneself to the supreme shiva are the samayak kuravarkal or Nalvar. The four saints names are appar, manikavasakar, sundarar and sambandar. Appar who is bald with his hands together in the anjali mudra or namste hand position. Manackavasakar who is bald and holding the vedas with his right hand help up in the abhaya mudra. Sundarar with hand crutch and lotus flower. Sambandar holding 2 cymbals vertically.
